I have been very connected to vines and wine for many years. The enjoyment, the feeling for nature, the stimulation of the senses, the cultural landscapes, the terroir, all this causes fascination and passion. 

I feel privileged to have been able to learn the art and crafts of winemaking  for five years at Rosenblum Cellars - the King of Zin(fandel), during my computer science studies at the University of Berkeley, California.

Since that time I felt the desire to one day create my own red wine. In 2018, I finally fulfilled this long-standing dream. I converted my garage into a micro-winery and equipped it with stainless steel tanks, barrels, crusher/ destemmer, press and a forklift. A year later, almost 600 bottles of St. Laurent were bottled. With the 2023 vintage, I processed almost twice the amount of grapes. I not only harvest grapes from experienced winegrowers, but also constantly new, exciting insights.

I work as a software engineer for an international IT company.   

My interaction with large IT systems requires extensive technical organization, precise work and structured procedures. I bring this experience into the production of my wines. In the creation of high-quality wines, one important step follows another and requires continuous monitoring of the vinification and maturation, right up to the bottling of the wines.
